Back in October, my wonderful husband, Aaron, surprised me with tickets to the Chris Tomlin concert, which featured Christy Nockles. If you know me very well, you would know that Christy Nockles is one of my most favorite artists. (And if you know Aaron very well, you would know that Chris Tomlin is one of his favorites.) So, after dropping off our son with my parents, off we went for a night of great music and worship. Little did I know, I would find some amazing encouragement and the idea that was the catalyst for this blog.
Christy Nockles is a song writer, a worship leader, a wife, and a mom. At one point during the concert, she was introducing a new song she had written on this very topic and the concept stuck with me. What does it look like to find the miraculous in the mundane? What would it look like for me to find significance in the everyday tasks I do for my family? Does God value what I do...even the laundry?

| I know this isn't a great picture, but it's the best one I had from the concert. |
So this is my challenge in 2012, find the lessons God has for me in the mundane of my everyday. The amazing thing is, He is already showing me some lessons I have learned simply from observing my little boy. (I've got a few blogs ready to be written...so more to come).
I hope this blog can be inspiring and encouraging to those of you who chose to read it.
