Goodbye 2012, Hello 2013

Each Christmas Eve, Aaron and I sit down and write out the blessings we've seen over the last year. It's a way for us to really think about and thank God for all He's done throughout the year. It's also a way for us to revisit our life together. It's probably my favorite holiday tradition!

This year, when I opened the Christmas decorations and saw that book my thought was, "This will not be a good year in the book." But I was surprised! As we set down that night, we put more blessings and provisions in our book than any of the previous years. And that got me thinking.

My life looks completely different than it did at the beginning on 2012. Almost everything has changed. And yet, I am able to see God's hand in all of it.

So, here are the milestones for the Hoskins in 2012....

* Aaron's transition out of his position with Fellowship Bible Church.
* Interviewing for jobs.
* Preparing for Brynna Kate.
* Dealing with Caden's toddler issues.
* Accepting a job with Hulen Street Church.
* Birth of Brynna Kate.
* Putting house on the market.
* Brynna's trip to the emergency room and stay at Arkansas Children's Hospital.
* Moving from Benton to Flower Mound.
* Moving from Flower Mound to Fort Worth.
* New city.
* New church.
* New friendships.
* Potty training.
* Renting (and hopefully selling) our house.
* Moving completely out of our house.
* Teething and crawling baby.
* Job for me at a new Chick-fil-A.
* Best friend's pregnancy.
* Brother's pregnancy.
* Adoption of our niece.

And I'm sure I'm forgetting about a dozen other crazy things that have happened along the way. The biggest lesson of 2012...God will provide. He might not provide how I thought He should or when I thought He should, but He was taken care of every need every time.
